We are looking for a Lead Engineer – Engineering Support for a manufacturing firm with the Aerospace Sector. 

Looking for an exciting career opportunity in the aerospace industry? Our client is hiring a Lead Engineer – Engineering Support to manage a team of engineers and technical specialists.

The Position: 

We are looking for an experienced Engineer who has worked on Product development within the Aerospace or Automotive sectors. 

Salary is based on the skills and experience of the successful candidate in line with the companies salary structure.

Responsibilities:

As the Lead Engineer – Engineering Support, you will be responsible for providing outstanding technical support to both internal and external customers. 

In addition, you will solve complex technical problems using structured problem-solving techniques and provide leadership and direction to your team to ensure comprehensive, efficient, and effective technical support is delivered to all customers.

Furthermore you will also be responsible for carrying out detailed design via 3D modelling and drawing creations/updates using CATIA V5 and ensuring that in-service issues are managed in a timely manner to support airlines’ operational requirements.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have: 

Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering degree achieved at 2:1 or above, 

While not essential experience working in the aircraft industry would be beneficial. 

It is essential that you have experience in leading, coaching, and motivating a team. 

Additionally, you should have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to diagnose real customer needs. 

You should also have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate with and influence stakeholders within the business, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.

Location: 

The role will be based from the company facilities in Northamptonshire. They do operate a blended working environment on a 4.1 basis.
